You want "art" or you want a bicycle?

It's a wonderful story. Not the bike itself, but the kid's determination, persistence, and ingenuity. He learned a lot about life and how to succeed, which was probably the real goal of the project.

It's a wonderful story AND the bike itself, and the kid's determination.

That's a beautiful piece. It IS art, and it IS a bicycle, and is no less a "real" goal than everything else he learned.

Jeez @ his age the only engineering I was concerned with were the stresses related to the one-handed unclasping of Lois C.'s bra.

He has more patience than I do.

Amazing. I wish he'd included more detail on what he'd learned about materials and dimensions though in case somebody else wants to try it.
