Looks like my dust pickup on the lathe. To control the heavy hose, I loop some #12 AWG around it and a screw into the wall. That's the place to gather it on a bandsaw, though. Bottom of the case is already late.
Dean... very simple, I might have to try that... I've got a 4" DC port on the bottom/side of my lower door, and as George said, It's too late to collect it there..
In the pictures, it appears that the hose is up against the lower blade guide adjuster, id that correct?
Do you think that there would be any advantage in notching the hose and having it go further in, under the zero clearance insert?

There is a stamped steel guard on the bottom wheel housing where the blade enters that I intend to swap out for something that'll accept a hose. I just need some sheet metal, a short tube, and a way to bend the metal. :)

My Ridgid already has a port there.. i just hook up my ShopVac (no room for a tru DC) and it works like a charm.

You must have a 20 hp shop vac or something... I hooked up my 2 hp DC to that useless little port and it still wasn't effective..

Shop Vacs actually work better than DC's on small ports.
It's velocity vs. volume, and I can't explain the theories, but my own experiences have agreed.
