It's been a bad week for workshops around here... lost one to fire Saturday that was caused by the owner stripping paint with a torch/heat gun. Monday another shop was lost to fire started by a lightening strike.
In West Hurley, the garage that caught fire after a lightning strike was over 150 feet away from the residence, according to Fisher. He said there were no cars damaged in the blaze but some machinery and file cabinets were lost. The homeowner bulldozed the garage before the night was out, Fisher said.
One of the guys in my woodworking club said the machinery was all woodworking equipment...
