Why no 2 core SWA at either Toolstation or Screwfix?

It seems that no one really believes that using the armour on SWA as the CPC is good idea. However the following (and several other references I've found) seems to say that it is entirely OK for most 'domestic' sizes of SWA:-

So why can't I actually buy any at Toolstation, Screwfix, etc.?

TLC have it (but relatively pricey), any other suggestions?

I've always found TLC remarkable cheap for SWA cable.

Random look at a few 3 core SWA sizes Toolstation seems to be comparable as TLC Screwfix seems to be 20% more expensive than TLC

Random look at a few 3 core SWA sizes

example 2.5mm2, 50m TLC = £71, SF = £93 TCL = £71, TS = 2x£36 = £72 (TS sell at 25m)

Prices include vat

So if SF or TS sold 2 core SWA the price would probably be close to, or more than, TLC

Perhaps that is the reason, cost effectiveness in the supply chain. Brian

After a fair amount of hunting around I've bought it from Superlec at what seemed a pretty competitive price of £60.60 including VAT for 50 metres of 2-core 4sqmm SWA.
