Webbing? Is English your first language? But don't you have a dictionary and thesaurus on your computer? How very strange.
I understand what isolate means. And a gate valve does anything but this.
Regulate would be a better word. Not that you'd understand it.

I was going to keep quiet but as Dr Evil/IMM is keeping this thread going I feel I must point out, Dr Evil/IMM says "Gate vales are no to totally stop water. They are to isolate flow in a circuit."
He later goes on to say "It is to stop flow and create water tight seal"
If this isn't a contradiction I dont't know what is.

No I haven't got it because you don't know what you are talking about. I work on installation and testing of water hydraulics at pressures up to 15 bar 5 days a week, and probably open and close more and bigger gate valves in one day than you've seen in your life time.
