I have more or less decided on having a big combi and have been looking at the WB 40 Kw beast. What I would like to know from the people that know is what are the alternatives ? build quality, ease of repair & price of parts are all things that some of you know and can comment on
TIA - Jeff

I have the Eco hometec EC31S. Very pleased with it.
This is a 36kW output on the HW side. They also do an EC38S that is 46kW on the HW side. And it's a fully modulating condensing model, if that's important.

It's a wall mounted job, not too big (well it's in the garage so size wasn't super critical). I also considered WB Highflow 400 (washing machine sized floor standing) and Ariston Genus 27 Plus (at the time it was a slimline fridge size, but wall mounted). Not sure what current models are comparable.
As they specialise in the "self build" market you have to order direct from them, then you may have the complication of finding someone who "will touch it with a bargepole" to fit it unless you can DIY. Worked out OK for me.
Regards, Simon.
