What price for a diamond cutting wheel?

Hi, anyone know the best/cheapest place where I can get a 115mm diamond masonry cutting wheel from? ie any of the well known outlets like B&Q etc.

Thanks

Makro have (had?) for a little under £30 a 230 mm grinder with 3 discs, a 115 mm grinder with 4(?) standard discs and one 115 diamond disc all in a nasty nylon carrying bag. Bit of a bargain for the one-off job that needs a big grinder methinks.

eBay is pretty good. Plenty of people are selling them. My last was a concrete grinding disk for 15 quid, rather than 50. The quality of the eBay ones (apart from the obvious barrow-boys) also appears to be better than the bargain bucket stuff.

Out of interest, why does a diamond disc have to travel in on direction? What happens if it is fitted the wrong way round? Kevin

I got a 230mm grinder for about £25 and a 230mm diamond disk for about £7 in there. Dunno how many diamonds are in it, but for a one off wall cut down it is cheaper than hiring a Stihl saw for the day!

I want something that will cut a few 50mm concrete paving flags, and then last long enough to do other similar jobs later.
