200W? WTF? With that much light you could probably grow stuff!

Not really ... unless you're dabbling in LED grow lights (hmmm).
250W HPS would be the bare minimum - 600W is probably a better bet.But even so, 1kW is only c. 4.5A - hardly a worry for a decent ring main and 13A plug.
Or have I missed something ?
You not tell him LEDs are more efficient. I am sitting under 108 Watts worth of LED's here, but there are 8 of them.
How do you know they're not LEDs?

I'm sure some of them actually use infrared, instead of 'deep' red and ultraviolet instead of 'hyper' violet ...
I'm sure a lot of people have found them a bit crap for certain applications.
I wonder what GW Pharma are packing in Norfolk ? I bet it ain't prakasa LED grow lamps. Much more likely HPS or HID. Since they aren't worried about their front door, I'd imagine they have specific setups for growing and flowering ... from memory they also have light movers to maximise efficiency.
That would be for reef aquariums. Corals tend to need a lot of light.
