You are less likely to slip and scratch an expensive surrounding surface. Obvious German attention to detail, that is lost on the average UK 'tradesman' who is more used to using a geordie spanner to 'tighten up nuts'.

I've had a full set of torx stuff for ages, first needed it on car trim IIRC but white goods have been using it for a long time IME.

I was given a set of these for Christmas many years ago. She would not have known what they were, neither did I until I decided to try to fix a 7 year old printer that did not work. They got me into the printer, but did not fix it. Stupid printer! Doh! Without them I'd have never opened the case.
