washing machine red mains light flickering

Hi,

The washing machine red mains light has started to flicker and the machine itself has started to pause and/or stop functioning. What can cause this and any remedies?

Kind regards,

Kenneth.

Bad contact in the mains lead, Investigate where and cure.

Is this a neon or is it a LED that's flickering to indicate a fault ?

Flickering is a normal part of behaviour for neons, so this is all very inconclusive.

Stop or pause... bad mains connection, burnt contacts on timer, too many possibilities really.

A fair bit more info would be needed to conclude anything useful.
