Wanted: Topliss Trumix shower knob or similar

The knob on my 27 year-old Topliss Trumix shower has, literally, gone pear-shaped and will no longer grip the shaft leading to the valve. The shaft is 3/8th in (9mm) diameter and has a flat filed on it. The knob mates with this and is held in place by a screw which goes into a threaded hole in the end of the shaft. The knob is about 2 1/2 (63mm) in diameter and is finished in a silvery plastic.

Please, please, please has anybody dispensed with such a shower and kept the knob? Does anybody have any alternative suggestions?

Topliss went out of business years ago (according to my loacal plumbers merchant); does anybody know who took over their business?

TIA

Brilliant! For some reason I assumed Topliss were a UK company and Googled only UK sites. Why I've got a New Zealand shower I'll never know.

Thanks muchly.
