Hi, I want to wallpaper between fixed shelves with patterned wallpaper. What's the best way to do this so it looks ok?

Are the shelves _really_ fixed? Perhaps you could unscrew them.

Line it up so the pattern is spaced as if the shelves weren't there.

Naaah, just imagine the shelves are part of the wall and paper over the whole lot,
Or just don't bother with paper at the backs of the shelves, and make sure what ever is stored on them hides the back.
