I think it’s very hard to judge as the type of roads we drive on has changed enormously over the years. On my regular trips up to Glasgow on dual carriageway and motorway, I get virtually no bug splat. On a gentle potter down into the more rural areas of Ayrshire on narrower roads I get lots.
