Heatrae Express vented water heaters use a plastic tap on the water inlet. As they are vented the outlet drips by design and so the plastic tap on the inlet gets over tightened and damaged very easily.
Is there any reason why the supplied plastic tap could not be replaced with a standard brass stop tap or even a 1/4 turn ball valve which would seem far more robust if not as aesthetically pleasing ?
