I have a very old Wylex consumer unit with an RCD apparently of type AC marked WSES. Does anyone think there is a chance of getting a type A RCD for this, or do I just need a new CU with RCBOs? My new cooker trips the RCD unless I turn
2 or 3 other circuits off.
I don't think it is a resistive leakage problem (much) as the new cooker measures 1.95 Megohm live or neutral to earth at 100V (haven't got a higher voltage tester).
