A random search on-line for a smart plug. Current Argos price £9.99 (click and collect for Thursday). Current Amazon price £22.

That's the third party seller price. Amazon themselves were most recently £9.99 but they're currently out of stock:

Since they have just sent me an alert, I'm guessing they are. On smart plugs, it very much depends on whether you want one that works ofr not. I'd not touch a TP Link one with a ten foot pole, they are a sod to set up needing two apps, and when they are are very apt to get amnesia when you least expect it. Brian

I'm not Prime, they want to get more people onto Prime before they hike the price to nearly 90 quid as Christmas comes along. Actually sale wise, Amazon are a bit like Dodgy Furniture Story and their like, who nearly always seem to have a sale, but when you look at the terms, often the savings are not as great as their snazzy adverts suggest by cherry picking what they want to shift.
