Have have a dirt cheap electric drill/screwdriver with a torque ring on it that is very effective at rapid fastening of at leasts Philips style heads to an appropriate toque.
It finds a lot of other uses where a bigger mains powered unit is not worth the hassle
In practice hand tightening anything critical to an appropriate torque is burned in muscle memory for small stuff that isn't that critical anyway.
I am not rebuilding engines these days :-)

That brought back some memories of engines that I've rebuilt: Norman Nippy, BSA C15, BSA Gold Flash, Ford Anglia, Ford V4, Triumph Spitfire, MGB GT, Triumph Stag, Saab 900. With the benefit of hindsight, only the Norman Nippy and the C15 *really* needed a re-con - the others would have soldiered on for as long as I had the car.
