This week's Aldi bargain

Since peanuts are not nuts ... Is a peanut alergy and a nut alergy different things ? Are there people allergic to nuts but not to peanuts ? Just wondered, since there was a program about "nut allergies" and they were talking about peanuts ? Simon.

In susceptible people the allergic reaction triggered by the proteins in nuts or peanuts is the same, but the actual trigger proteins are different, apparently. You can apparently be allergic to either nuts or peanuts or both. Don't know how closely related the proteins are.

What about Mars Bars? Would you need a different serving suggestion for the deep fried variety served in Scotland?

Have you never tried them laced with a coating of condensed milk?

Brush with lots of honey, shallow fry in butter & serve with flaked almonds, rose water and cream

Well that wasn't suggested on the box.

I'll stick with Splenda, cinnamon and milk. Preceded by fresh OJ, then followed by a fried free-range egg in a soft roll. All washed down with Columbian blend coffee. Yummy!
