Some years ago an arm and back of a pale leather settee exhibited blue stains. My blue dressing gown was assumed to be the culprit by SWMBO.
Recently we had some other chairs covered in a pure white faux leather (plastic) fabric. Today, we found the same blue stains. Except they are known to have come from dark faux leather pocket patches on my wife's dress. She is recovering from surgery and has to sit for long periods.
She wants to try and remove the patches with every cleaning agent that we have.
We have tried the gentlest preparations without success. My feeling was that we should find out what we are dealing with before taking risks.
Has anyone any experience of similar problems and solved them?
