Thanks (?) Geoff (!). Recommendations for a programmable stat ?

Question

was going to check CH, and the ****ing clock is bust. It was the cheapest possible option for the Vaillant boiler (notice I say option, reading the manual the base boiler comes with nothing).

Anyway, since I have been meaning to install a programmable stat so we can "advance" the heating when needed, and from the hall not having to go to the utility and have a week/weekend pattern set up, this looks like the right time.

Anyone suggest stat that would do the job. Ideally it would replace the existing wired stat ?

Drayton Digistat 3 should do the job. I have a wireless one on my house which was easy to fit, and have fitted one in my daughters that is the wired type. Runs off batteries which have lasted well over a year so far, and also available in a mains configuration if your existing stat has a neutral. Battery one with wired connections around =A325 off the bay. Instructions are available to download online so you can check the facilities like Holiday mode. Can be set up 7 day or 5/2 day
