Suspension from ceilling...

Any idea where I'd find info on what loading they can take? I know a web page of stats could be false, but I'd still find it reassuring :)

The only reason for deflection increasing over time is stuff cracking. Timber, when dry doesn't really move much under sustained load.

Not sure that's true..under heavy prolonged stresses it does 'creep'
