Get something that has a metal blade. you can get heads for some strimmers that have plastic finger blades with some coming from the original manufacture others being generic which may or may not fit. They still wear but not as fast as line, mine was OEM for a Ryobi and the plastic fingers were held on with a rivet which once worn out I drilled out and replaced with home made metal ones fabricated from a hacksaw blade. Worked reasonably well but not as good as the OEM three sided metal blade fitted to a larger strimmer/brushcutter model. The old strimmer has become a weeder with the housing that once held the plastic blades now holding a load of screws mounted on it.
