Stihl 4 MIX Engine

Anyone with experiences good or bad with one of these ?

(This engine while being a petrol 4 stroke runs on 2 stroke mixture.)

No direct experience as I don't regularly use tools anymore but contractors generally don't like them, they are more fussy and have hot starting problems, with no actual fuel economy. They need the Stihl premium 2t oil (green) because of the valve gear and the tank breather needs frequent attention or modifying.

Apparently the FS70 2t engine is a straight swap.

I have two, one at my house in France and one here in the uk. Never had a problem with either of them, nice and quiet and powerful too. Recommended.

Thanks for the input guys. Two conflicting opinions but c'est la vie. I'll ask my local agent what he thinks. He services them so should have some idea.
