I have though about getting a spray gun but am put of by not knowing how to keep them clean after use. Is it easy or a PITA? tips would be great!

Yes it is essential to keep them clean and usually means a certain degree of dismantling and use of solvent to clean everything as soon as you have finished spraying. Depending on what you are spraying this could be just water of course. You will also need to keep the paint in good condition filtering if needed and pay attention to dilution rates and measurement.
If you are the type that might regard cleaning as a PITA then the overall care needed when spraying might not be for you.
Definitely. Some think spraying is going to be quicker than brushing where either will do. In most cases this isn't true, when the time taken for clearing up afterwards is taken into account. The only reason to spray is where a better finish is needed.
Its not difficult, but you must remember to clean them after every use...
