I have a double-skinned dome about 750 x 750 and want to minimise the heat gain through it but keep ligh gain as high as possible.
The inner skin is slight curved.
Is there a film or spray I could successfully apply myself?

white paint reflects away more heat than those silver grey coatings, and a very thin layr of white will allow light in. Whitewash is traditionally used for this.

probably but not necessarily, and no. The point of limewash is it comes off easily if need be. Its also cheaper.
