i have a faulty time controller {smc} i have a new one to fit smc424 emerald to replace it but no wiring instructions can any one help it runs 1 room temp sensor and and controls lpg boiler can any help there are 10 terminals steve snipped-for-privacy@yahoo.co.uk

Most basic programmers are similar - they have a mains input and two changeover relays to control heating and hot water respectively. How they are actually wired depends on the type of system - single or twin pumps, motorized valves or three port, etc.
Most boiler makers provide wiring instructions for the various options so I'd have a look at their site first.
If you've removed the old controller (or the new one has a different back plate) and not made a note of which wire goes where it will be a question of starting from basics.
