Shower valve

Way back there was a thread on *shortcomings* with Bristan Zing/Frenzy cool touch bar shower valves. I have just replaced the shut off valve for the second time in 5 years. Average use 3/week. Complete valve from Shower Doc £20.00 so not the end of the world but are these units serviceable? I have no ambition to play with the thermostat end:-)

One of the joys of bar shower valves is that they are a five minute job to replace. I'm not sure what the cost of a thermostat would be, but the mark ups on spares is so high that you could probably get a replacement bar valve for the cost of the thermostat.
