Shower panel? For boxing in pipes...

I'm after a white waterproof panel that's easy to work with and does not need painting or tiling. It could be plain or in "fake tile" format.

Think melamine coated chipboard without the chipboard.

I want to make some pipe boxing in a bathroom that is easy to remove, looks OK and is 100% waterproof (ie survives damp and washing) without having to seal it in with silicone.

So far I have found:

but it's mighty expensive. I wonder if there is a cheaper solution along similar lines? It does not have to look *that* fancy, just decent...

And don't say "Asbestolux"!

Cheers and TIA!

That would be, um, melamine?

Would foamex board do? The thicker thicknesses would be fairly self-supporting, the only thing to watch is that the foamy edge doesn't absorb moisture and get mouldy, but you could seal the edges with silicone and let it dry before fitting.

I used left over shower panel for mine. Find your nearest shower installer and ask politely.

I still have some bits but subdued marble and you are the wrong side of London:-(
