If the Queen makes it to 100, will she send herself one? ;-)
why not
The Norman Invaders, their descendant spawn and other hangers-on are simply irrelevant, and their continuing self-indulgence renders every Brit as a second-class citizen unable, unlike the French and the Yanks, to rise to become head of state.
In 45 years' time, it will be the 1,000th anniversary of the Norman invasion and so a good point to do away with the lot o' them.
Time also for another National Anthem, because the current version has as the opening and closing words of the first line the make-believe cancers of the Norman religion and the Norman monarchy, and the whole thing in all its ridiculous verses is nothing whatsoever about the people of this nation.
Well it won't be a telegram it;s a standard card delivered by the royal mail. And you have to apply for it at least 3 weeks in advance if you want one.
Oh and of course the Queen doesn,t send it or licks the back of the stamp ;-)
I expect she has people to do that for her.

"I am commanded by Queen Elizabeth II to wish [space for name to be inserted] Queen Elizabeth II [/space for name to be inserted] a very happy
100th birthday" ;-)Because the Queen never does anything herself: she "commands" other people to do it on her behalf.
Quite - what was the wording on the passport? HRH 'demands' something of foreigners? No wonder our Brexiteers thought 'getting back' sovereignty would go ever so well. ;-)
She used to sign every 100th birthday card for a while. Stopped that a longggg time ago. There are now 14,500 over 100 and now that the last of the post WW1 baby boom have joined them there could be more, depending on how many avoided Covid-19
It's hard to lick your own arse.
At one time a anyone could go anywhere in the world without any documentation. The first British passports were issued by the King to warn foreigners that if they interfered with his subjects he would send a gunboat to sort them out.
No-one licks the back of stamps any more :)
Aroung Christmas time, I ordered some Scottish Royal Mail stamps. They needed licking, so I bought a wet pad.
One of those tena things?
I think that answer has already been given, the answer is yes.
Our queen has a very good sense of humour as people who have met her will attest. I doubt if you could have done the job for so long without one. Brian
And Philippos Andreou of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderberg-Glücksburg Prince of Greece and Denmark wanted his surname added to the Windsor part.
Anything is better then being Battenburg though
The cakes are nice.
GOAAT = Going Off At A Tangent :-)
51 years ago, I had a vacation job in Hales' Cake Factory in Clevedon, and worked on the Battenberg Cake production line. What a disappointment today is the Lyons' version in comparison, over-sweetened and much smaller in size!
In 1970 it was a manual operation taking the 3ft square sponge cases and cutting then down to size, but, I have to say, there was huge wastage destined for the pigswill bins.
