Shallow downlighters

Hi,

I'm looking to install downlights in a bathroom of an apartment. The difficulty is that there is only about 2.5inches clearance between the ceiling and the concrete floor of the net floor.

I have been looking for some type of low profile surface mounted, or shallow recessed downlighters, but to no avail.

Does anyone have any experience of this problem and any suggestions as to how to fix it?

Thanks,

Ronan

Thanks for the suggestion. I had thought of these, but they are specifically not for use in bathrooms.

Also, quite low power output at 10W.

It's that type of fitting I'm after.

Thanks,

Would they be exclusively in the bathroom ceiling? If so, within certain constraints (of ceiling height and distance from the bath), AIUI you can use any lights you want?

They will be reasonably close to the bath, which also has a shower over it.

The main problem is that the ceiling space is very shallow, a bare 2.5 inches. I had thought about the under-cabinet type pf lights, but they are very low power at 10W.

How about something like this?

'm using these in a similar situation. Slimline xfmr could go in the void, or in a surface mount box in the corner. Oh, and good luck trying to find any other surface mount spotlights w/o integrated xfmr. I've spent hours and can't find anything other than these!

Regards, Jon.
