Screwfix reviews not showing

Jun 30, 2012 8 Replies

A few weeks ago I noticed that I couldn't access SF's reviews. Although this was well in to Opera 12 releases, Firefox also won't show them (the additional information link has never worked). I wondered if it's something in the browsers, Avast!, Hosts file or Comodo FW or more general. Are any of you having this problem?

Working fine here (FF 13.0.1)

Not browser related it seems.

Link for reviews points at

formatting link
so it won't be hosts file related.

A firewall ought not interfere with web page content.

They've done this before, their web monkeys having issues with CSS and font sizes expanding floated div regions over the top of hyperlinks, hiding them from mouse clicks.

Haven't even looked at the site, but I'd lay odds that's what it is.

Showing up fine in FF 13. Clear out your cache and cookies (especially SF cookies) - sorts a lot of niggles in FF, although the latest builds don't seem affected as badly by that.

I'm using the latest Pale Moon (12.2...); it doesn't accept cookies and I clear it out most times (it's a back-up for Opera 12.1 - a button on Opera's toolbar opens FF).

The replies have given me some pointers and I've had a play with the settings in Opera. Turning off content blocking for the site has worked and the reviews are now visible. Thanks to all.

I've had that occasionally - the content blocker is fine for ages, then suddenly throws a wobbler on a site it's been ok with. Probably changes on the site, but could be content blocker update with crossed wires - unintended consequences.

As I tend to keep up with the latest version of Opera (even Alpha usually works well), there could indeed have been changes to the CB.

PeterC spake thus:

Not had a problem with the reviews but the breadcrumbs haven't worked for me for a few months now.
