I have a 5,000 gal underground storage tank ... all water from roof goes to this. Have a 3rd water cct in house, it's pressurised, fills toilets, washing m/c, and also supplies outside tap.
Around 70% of all water used in domestic house is flushing the toilets.
Was it expensive to acquire and install?

And do you do anything to the water to ensure that it does not host legions of legionella, buckets of bacteria, etc.?
