Roller garage door end bungs

Jun 07, 2017 2 Replies

I need to replace a couple of the plastic end bungs on the ends of my electric roller garage door. Its one of those double skinned alloy ones, with insulation between the outer and inner. The plastic bungs fit in the ends, so as to help guide the door laths into the runners either side of the door. They push into the lath end, then are stapled through the door skin, to keep them in place. Anyone know what the correct name for these items might be, so I can search please?

Can't help with the name, but wondered if you can remove decent ones from the top end of the roll (those which never get as far as the guide runners even when the door is completely closed) and use those as replacements.

Jeff Layman submitted this idea :

There is only one at each side which doesn't get as far as the slot and it looks as if I need around 4 to 6 replacements - but thanks anyway.
