RIP Alan B'Stard

Wife's grandmother over in France a very intelligent lady, teacher she was, had a stoke and it left her very much as you describe your mum Dave.

Except that state lasted all of 7 years before she finally passed away:(.

She was lovingly tended to by her husband, he looked after her every need, had to feed wash and dress her and attended to her shall we say bodily waste needs. Couldn't leave her alone for a moment and he did just that, the only outside help he would accept was his daughter to stay with her whilst he went shopping..

When she finally passed away it was an awful sight she was very thin and her skin was almost transparent poor soul. Soon after she died he simply just gave up living and that was that, one of the most pleasant lovely blokes around he was too, a very brave resistance fighter in the war too!.

Thats about the only time I wish I was fluent in French to have had a few more detailed conversations with him..

Agreed. People die every day, it's one of the only certainties of life. You don't hear about all of them. OK this chap might have been in the public eye so reporting his death has some value but the rest? Respect the families privacy please.

TBH I've been wondering who Alan B'Stard was, appears to be a ficticious character played by Rik Mayall. I *am* aware of Rik Mayall, Young Ones etc...

Knowing how someone has died can help you from 'going the same way'

Soem think the most daggerous thing you can do is sitting in front of the TV, perhaps that's what killed him.

If it's due to riding a quadbike, snorting coke, or whistling national athams I'd like to know so I can aviod doing those things. This is especially true for those younger than him and fondley remmeber him on
