replacing a garage roof

My garage roof is deteriorating. It is built from corrugated panels which I hope are not asbestos (the house was built in 1984).

Long cracks are opening up along the length of the corrugations allowing rain through and I am sure that water soaks through after a heavy downpour. I could use that sealing tape on the cracks but then I would have to do the whole roof.

I would like to remove the panels and replace with something more up to date, preferably with some sort of insulation qualitites.

Any suggestion?

Thanks.

Is it a pitched roof or flat? Presumably pitched if corrugated?

I replaced mine, when it got hit by a storm. I increased the pitch and strength of the roof, to allow storage of wood, pipe etc. under the eaves.

Its a flat pitched roof! The front of the garage is higher than the back by about 20 cm. This gives a slight gradient for water to run off at the back into the guttering and down into the ground.

I am looking for this kind of thing:

maybe I've answered my own question. Shame I can't just pop into Build&Quality (irony) and pick some up.
