A Friday night error by a young lady, home from a party.
Would be a relatively easy fix if the b'd that fitted the basin hadn't plastered the clips with epoxy (I think).
My plan at the moment is to use a Dremel to cut away the glue, but I'd really welcome any other ideas.

Well you don't want the current basin... Gently break that up a bit more to get better access from the top to the clips. The "glue" doesn't look that well adhered to the basin is it hard/brittle or soft(ish)?

Epoxy is killed by heat. Try a steaming kettle.

The young ladies memory is uncertain. Her claim is that she simply dropped a perspex cup, half full of water.
Having now removed the basin, and having hit it very hard with a number of objects without it breaking, I think she encountered a fluke of nature.
Hmmm, might be possible if the basin was flawed already.
Now if a whale's fluke had hit it...
A bit surprising nobody's suggested the application of an angle grinder yet.....
