That is likely a longer sentence than the miscreants got. ;)

Years ago I was shagging a BBC catering manageress. They were practically *expected* to make (tax free) money on the side through dodgy deals with suppliers.

Twenty boxes delivered, 25 boxes invoiced for, and the other 5 split between supplier and manager and sold on the black market.

Or beefburgers ordered and invoiced, soy burgers delivered.

Watering the drinks. Or serving something completely different. I once ordered a glass of Rioja in a wine bar, and got something tasting like a wine lake Merlot/Cabernet blend.

That one works by the barman buying his own stash of plonk from a supermarket, and serving it to you at winebar prices. No one ever checks if the sale of wine equals the purchases of wine.

Most of the customers don't know chablis from entre deux legs anyway.

I know a lad who worked at a Spar store in the late 80's / early 90's after school, he was paid £11 for 14 hrs.

As he got older and had been there a few years he'd asked for increases but been told there wasn't the money. When he was on the till in the off license section (illegally of course) his mates got their booze *very* cheap and there was always money for a KFC after his shift.

He'd never pinched anything before or since but I think the last straw came when his tight arsed boss rocked up in a brand new Merc with all the upgrades and invited him to fawn over it.
