> Who said that covid had killed him ?

David Brooks said he thought it. Dunno if he mentioned it in here, or is even in any groups you are.

I don't worry about a virus which has killed less than 1 in 1000 of the world population. I have no vaccine and never will. I did laugh when they gave a booster, then another one. I did laugh when they said it was ineffective against the new strains.

Commander Kinsey snipped-for-privacy@nospam.com wrote

I never saw it if he did.

The name does sound a bit familiar.

More fool you.

Great, hopefully that will kill you or give you long covid.

That last is a lie.

They never said anything of the sort.

Mainly alt.computer.workshop.

1 in 1000 is a very small chance.

Funny, been over 1.5 years and I still don't have it, despite almost never using a mask.

They are on the third dose in the UK. My parents have already had it.

It's all over the news.

Commander Kinsey snipped-for-privacy@nospam.com wrote

The chance of long covid is much higher than that and well worth avoiding. Charles in here has got a very undesirable result from being infected and there aren't anything like 1000 posting in here.

Sure, that's a pathetically inadequate sample but given that no one in here has got a bad result from vaccination, it makes sense to get vaccinated with one of the mRNA vaccines. Pfizer in your case.

It remains to be seen with omicron.

That isn't gave a booster, then another one.

But not a booster, then another one.

Bullshit that is.

Yes, the immediate effects were no more than a bad cold, but 7 weeks later I still get very tired, all jobs seem to take far longer than they used to and I can't manage to carry weights that I could easily in September. In short, I'm beginning to realise what being 81 means.

I only care about death.

I do not have it, this is obvious.

Anything but the first dose is clearly boosting what has already been given. If I give you a thousand dollars, then give you some more money later, I'm giving you an extra boost.

More fool you. Long covid is obscene.

Yet.

You don't know that either.

Nope, plenty of vaccines are 2 dose vaccines and some are 3 dose vaccines too and it looks very likely that most of the covid vaccines are actually 3 dose vaccines.

Nope, just more money, particularly when paying for something that you priced at more than a thousand bucks.

That's not a vaccine used in the UK.

And that doesn't say its ineffective against the new strains either, just that its less effective.

I don't know anybody with it. Stop worrying.

Been over a year.

Yeah right, a disease that doesn't manifest itself at all?

It's just semantics. Something was given, then more of it was given. I call that a boost.

They're all less effective against new strains. That's why we can't even cure the common cold.

Less effective enough the UK government was worried about itt getting over here.

Commander Kinsey snipped-for-privacy@nospam.com wrote

Yet, you will.

I'm not worrying, it makes sense to avoid getting severe disease, long covid or death.

Omicron has only been there for a couple of weeks.

Plenty do get no symptoms at all with covid.

That the reason it became a pandemic.

Nope.

It clearly isn't with part payments in cash.

But not INEFFECTIVE.

Nope, that's because it mutates so fast.

We have in fact eliminated smallpox from the wild and have only failed to do that with polio because some fool in a few moslem countrys refuse vaccination.

Nope, because it has vastly more mutations, 50, and it wasn't clear how effective the vaccines would be. Turns out that the booster is very effective.

It's something they would have mentioned.

It makes sense to avoid likely problems, not unlikely ones. And the extent the world has been messed up due to lockdowns is causing way more damage.

Didn't catch the other ones.

I though Omicron made computers or cash registers or something. A search shows it's also the 15th letter of the greek alphabet. Funny how they named it after that.

No symptoms no problem.

A boost is something that adds to what you've already got.

Still f****ng pointless.

Just like covid.

Perhaps they're not as pessimistic as you.

So they didn't even know. Why are we listening to these incompetant morons?

Commander Kinsey snipped-for-privacy@nospam.com wrote

Nothing unlikely about getting infected with covid, and trivial to ensure you don't get severe disease that way.

Yeah, who cares about the 10M its killed.

And Delta is a US airline.

They skipped Xi for what should be obvious reasons.

Wrong, as always. That's what to so many infected and killed lots of those and gave lots of those severe disease and even more long covid.

Not with getting infected again, or with a part payment in cash or even with a second helping of a meal, or with other than the first drink.

Nope, not when it stops severe disease and death and long covid.

Nothing like covid. Vaccination works very well indeed with covid and isn't available with the common cold.

They certainly are more stupid. Polio is a very bad disease to get.

Because it was too early to know that.

They are in fact very competent. The covid vaccines became available much more quickly than any vaccines have ever been before and we now have an extra new technology, mRNA vaccines, that work much better than the previous vaccine technology.

And we have worked out the basics much more quickly this time than we ever have with a new pandemic before.

I've not got infected in 1.5 years.

10M out of 7.5B. Virtually none. Learn about percentages.

Now consider all the people and companies made destitute.

They must have skjipped a lot more, surely tis about the 5th variant?

They aren't. Never even heard of that one.

If I don't have symptoms, it's not affected me personally. The sissies can get jabs.

I could eat some food, still feel a bit peckish, then go get some more to boost my energy.

A tiny amount of death. Less than 1 in 1000.

It's already proving to not work too good as it mutates.

Only if you get it.

Pandemic my arse. Less than 1 in 1000 people. What a waste of time. We should let those with inferior immune systems die off.

Commander Kinsey snipped-for-privacy@nospam.com wrote

Yet.

Still stupid to kill that many when that is avoidable.

Not one was.

Nope. Just the 5th most serious.

Then you need to get out more.

That bugger is the current dictator of china.

But will have infected others, psychopath.

And those who aren't psychopaths who only care about themselves.

And could drink another glass of water and not boost anything except your bladder.

It isn't just about death, stupid.

More of your pig ignorant bullshit. Still works very well indeed at preventing hospitalisation, severe disease and death due to the virus.

And they do.

10 million is a pandemic, stupid. Only the spanish flu, black death and smallpox has killed more and this on isn't even close to over yet.

It isn't just about dying, and it doesn't just kill those with inferior immune systems either, it also kills those who are exposed to a lot of the virus and gives far more severe disease and even if you recover, hordes end up with long covid which is in fact much worse than any other infection now.

I can't get infected in those 1.5 years now can I? 1.5 years of staying clean means it's pretty unlikely to ever get me, especially as the wimps have all been jabbed.

Way more get killed by other means. And anything that reduces the vastly over-populated planet is welcome.

Bankruptcy everywhere. Don't make me list them again, I've done so before.

None are serious.

At least they don't have copyright over there.

Not my concern what happens to the other 7.5 billion.

If you've been jabbed, I can't give you it, so I'm not endangering you.

Just like the useless booster for covid.

Living is preferable.

Funny how people are still wearing masks after getting the vaccine.

Not likely.

10 million is f*ck all of 7.5 billion.

Some people don't get symptoms. Let them further the population.

Commander Kinsey snipped-for-privacy@nospam.com wrote

Try that again in english, even google translate doesn't do gobbledegook yet.

Bullshit with omicron being much more infectious.

That's bullshit too.

Still stupid to kill that many when that is so easily avoidable.

More mindless bullshit.

Bullshit.

You haven't done so in here.

More mindless bullshit with 10M killed by it.

Yes they do.

Because you are a psychopath.

Wrong, as always.

Wrong, as always.

Nothing useless about it.

And living without long covid in spades.

Because no vaccine is perfect and masks help.

So does social isolation and not being stupid enough to carry on as if there is no virus about.

Wrong, as always.

10 million is a pandemic, stupid. Only the spanish flu, black death and smallpox has killed more and this on isn't even close to over yet.

That isn't because they have better genes, its because they weren't exposed to so much of the virus.

That would only be true if it was their genes that produced that result and it isnt.

I said I've not been infected in 1.5 years. You suggested that could change in the future. But it cannot, those 1.5 years will remain virus free.

But most people are vaccinated.

It's about 85% in the UK I believe.

More sensible to eliminate the most dangerous things.

You think it's ok to have 7.5 billion folk crammed onto the planet?

I'm sure it was you I did it for. You replied with some s**te about airlines not being important.

Express 10M/7.5 billion as a percentage. Show your working.

No they don't, neither does Russia.

Not possible to care for that many.

So you admit it doesn't work!

I prefer to live my life rather than cower in fear.

Never heard of anyone getting it.

Bullshit, plenty are immune. 80% actually.

Genes account for everything.

Commander Kinsey snipped-for-privacy@nospam.com wrote

Because omicron is much more infectious.

Even sillier than you usually manage and that's saying something.

But plenty of them will get infected and can infect you.

The vaccines, particularly the Astrazenacre, doesn't eliminate infection, it mostly prevents severe disease and death due to the virus.

That's nothing like all.

And they aren't wimps, they are those with a clue, unlike you.

It is in fact the most dangerous thing in your country and much easier to eliminate than the others too.

Yep, it working fine and even 10M killed by the virus wont make any significant difference to that.

That's possible.

Some airlines always go bankrupt and few have due to covid and the ones that have gone bankrupt don't matter at all because there are plenty which have not left.

Irrelevant to the fact that its one of the most serious pandemics the world has seen.

Even you should be able to check it for yourself.

Yes they do.

Wrong, as always.

But perfectly possible to care about more than just yourself.

Nope, that no vaccine is perfect.

Those with enough of a clue to get vaccinated aren't cowering in fear.

More than one in here have got it and recovered and more know of some who it has killed.

Wrong, as always.

Wrong, as always. Far more is due to your personal situation with this virus, who you come into contact with etc.

The worst thing is stopping people doing what they need or want to do. My neighbour's wife died of cancer a few days ago. He couldn't be with her for her last 2 weeks of life because she was in a care home and the over the top covid regulations (they've both been vaccinated) meant he couldn't visit her. This really is beyond a joke.

Commander Kinsey snipped-for-privacy@nospam.com wrote

But that is no big deal to avoid getting long covid and hardly anyone is stopped from doing much no that vaccination is available.

He was free to talk to her over the phone.

You fools who stupidly refused to get vaccinated are that in spades.

Everyone is free to take precautions if they wish, but to force it is insanity.

You sick f*ck. Her last 2 weeks of her life and she couldn't be with her husband. The morons in government making these rules need to be jailed right now.

They were both vaccinated as I already told you.
