Do you use The Express to wipe your arse with too?

Many care homes have wifi, but sadly you cannot use an Amazon echo etc on them as the connection and password expires after a number of hours and the admin has to supply a new one. So many of the residents have had to get in their own connection at extra expense. A spokesman for the company said that as the public wifi on the system used the same bandwidth as the home if people started to stream video on it they would not have enough capacity. Our local authority in Kingston has in fact started to put in the system paid for by our local chamber of commerce and Kingston 1st through Arqiva. I don't know how widely it will be accessible but I bet its going to be time limited or anyone nearby will be on it all day. Speed is usually crippled on such systems these days to discourage too much over use. Brian

The story about Skidrow-on-Sea's council deciding what pensioners can and cant do with their broadband was in today's Times, too.
