Re-applying silicone

Apr 07, 2016 1 Replies

The silicone bead around a couple of our windows (Inside) is now splitting away with age. Is it feasible to apply a new bead on top of the existing?

I'm wary of making a much bigger mess, if I set about stripping out the whole bead around the window. Quite a part from the extra time, and the expertise, involved.

Cheers John

Not really.

A multitool with the flat, toothless blade attachment makes this operation an absolute doddle.
