The main difference is that the Compact comes with side and top panels ready fitted, making them look much nicer, particularly in a contemporary setting.
A quick look at a random radiator size (600x600 1.5 convector) gives 807W for the Compact and 845W for the Elite. I suspect (but don't know) that adding top/side panels might reduce that somewhat, making them pretty comparable.

Great, thanks, I couldn't tell the difference between an elite with optional side and top panels, and the compact and I now suspect there is none.

I don't know if there is a difference, but I suspect it would be very slight if there is.
Christian.
There's also no difference between them and what you'll find in B&Q as their "own" brand, other than a smaller range of sizes in the shed. (Although I must admit at
Nick, I just replied to your email and it bounced back.... :-(

B&Q seem to be introducing a new brand of panelled rads of similar style to the Biasi ones they've done for years. Can't remember the new brand name - maybe that's the Stelrad?
They are the same radiator i.e. a compact is an elite with sides and top panels, they are cheaper because more are sold. I recently wanted 2 elites as SWMBO did not want the side and top panels. After a few phone calls I was advised that if I removed the panels from a compact I would have an elite. This is what I did and indeed the compact rad is now absolutely identical to an elite that I bought about 2 years ago.
Odd
My email should have come from snipped-for-privacy@saucefx.com which appears to be working (I get a web based test email)
Please try again

It's a good match for all the off-white glosswork in my house ;-)
