question re angle grinders

Having read the posts on injuries from angle grinders I though I would get some clarification on something as I never use one that often but may use soon to cut some wall tiles in situ. I have a couple of blades/cutters whatever you call them and they are labelled `Stone` and `only cut` does this mean for cutting and NOT grinding? They are 4.5" x 1/8". I would also add they have a EXP date of 2007! re previous thread! But stored in dry heated conditions.

Yeah, they'll be thin discs only designed for loads pushing on the edge of the disc toward the centre. Thicker grinding discs can withstand lateral forces safely as well.

That means if they explode and kill you, you cant sue the mfr.

Thanks for confirming.
