Hi folks, I am needing to replace some plastic corrugated roofing on a garage. It is covering a sort of extension that runs along one entire side of the garage. It must be about 4 feet wide. The old stuff leaks in places and seems as if it is coming to the end of its useful life. Any tips? How much overlap should I use? Where is a good pace to get this stuff? What grade would be best? heavy duty? I was thinking of leaving the wood supports unless they are rotting (obviously).

few years ago. Their service was OK (till the last time) and they had a useful catalogue. Places like Wickes may sell the sheets at a fair price, but they'll make up for it with bits and bobs like nails.
As for grade / quality: it depends a bit on how long you want it to last, which in turn depends partly on how easy it is to replace it. If it's at minimal pitch, you might find that heavier grades are easier to keep watertight at side laps.
I don't know about the best place to _get_ it, but the best place to _put_ it is in the bin.
A few years ago I nearly lost an eye thanks to an errant shard of the stuff breaking off a building as I walked along a street during a gale.
Frank, That's a fair point. What would you use instead?
If you need the light then use twin wall sheeting as used in conservatories. otherwise roof it over properly.
