hi, in my kitcken i had an artex ceiling which i wanted flat. i removed the high spots on the artex and sealed with pva. the ceiling was very uneven so i used thistel bonding (after applying pva) to level it, keyed it and left it to try as i was too busy to skim straight after.
the plaster has bonded very well to the ceiling but now nearly a week on i am wondering before i skim with multifinish should i seal the undercoat with pva. then skim over a tacky pva solution?
should i not seal the undercoat and just skim over tacky pva? its quite a large ceilng how long will the pva stay tacky for?
ive quite new to plastering so any advice would be great! i really dont want the skim coat to fall off.
