Painted Radiator - Help Needed

Got a radiator that's been painted. How to get rid of paint (emulsion I think) - any tips??

Thanks

A plastic scraper, the master card will do. :-)

Don't you just hate painted rads. :-(

Just want and see what it looks like under the paint, then you'll probably find why they painted it. ;)

Get the radiator off (make sure the valves closed and secure). Lie the radiator flat , cover it with a cut-to-size piece of cloth (or cloths) Soak the cloths with methylated spirit (try a patch first to see whether it will work). Cover with plastic bags - opened-out bin bags will be fine - to stop the meths. evapourating too quickly. Don't let the rad. dry out. When the emulsion is soft, rub/wipe it off with more cloth/meths., Bounty kitchen roll, or whatnot, until it's clean. This will reveal the original finish. Note: meths. is inflammable, so don't smoke, weld, let off fireworks, etc., eyc.
