Bought myself a power monitoring smart plug the other day to try and find out if there’re any power hungry devices left in our house worth trimming/replacing and was a bit surprised to find that our flat screen 37” LCD Panasonic uses around 120-130 watts whist on. (A TX-37LZD80).
Somehow I thought it would be less than this but maybe it’s a feature of its age? Are new TVs significantly more economical?
Just curious really as replacing it would take a long time to recoup any power savings I imagine and seems wasteful when it still works well.
