For years I found the most effective product for a quick clean of the Windscreen that actually worked if you were too short of time to clean with other things and a cloth was a product called Holts/Simonize Mixra , an aerosol foam product that you sprayed on then left for a bit and leaving the washers and wipers to rinse off leaving a clean screen. Annoyingly it seems to have been withdrawn from the market probably because of the risk of an ingredient melting Glaciers in the Home Counties etc. Anyone have any suggestions for a product that works as well in the same circumstances? Not the products that one uses when doing a car clean but something that during a journey in the wet and you have picked spilt Diesel etc you can just use and go on your way.

I think any spray on glass cleaner with a bit of detergent would work Personally I use washing up liquid to shift the grease, with a wet sponge, but so many cleaning products come in totally reusable spray bottles that you could probably fill one of those up. You could add a bit of propanol (IPA) or ethanol as well for better grease busting.

Elbow Grease Foaming aerosol.

That Elbow Grease is good stuff for cleaning all sorts of crap. Cheap too.
