OT: what can brush cutters cope with?

I have an =A380 one from Ebay (some unknown brand I forget) which I've u= sed to cut 50 square metres of thick dense bush down, with stalks of up = to an inch or so thick. The motor is 1 kilowatt, and manages ok with th= e circular saw 80 tooth blade I attached to it. Except occasionally it = will jam. As long as I release the power immediately, it's fine. But t= he first motor was killed by me not being fast enough.

How come abbreviated is such a long word?

Yep. I discovered that quite soon!

Thanks for all the comments. I tried a (Qualcast) brush cutter with the metal tri-blade disc but it just pushed things out of the way. I tried the hedge trimmer again but the foliage was just too dense to even wield it. Success came when I went back to the chain saw - I was able to cut a path through the undergrowth and then lop things down quite effectively. There turned-out to be quite few tree stumps of 8-10" diameter covered by everything else, together with several small diameter trees up to about 12'.
