OT: Roberts Stream 93i now fixed for BBC Audio Factory changes

As per subject.

After the BBC sabotaged many existing internet radios by changing their protocols to use HLS AAC ??, Roberts Radio have finally made new software available. Actually been available since July.

So the What HiFi recommended internet radio is worth buying again if listening to better-than-mp3 streams is of interest to you.

They still seem to be £139 in J-L, but the bluetooth accessory is extra. Not that that will be of interest to anyone who 'listens again' to R3, because you would need bluetooth aptx and apparently it's a bit flaky.

It's amazing how few people employed by the retail industry seem to have heard of Bluetooth aptX. No-one in Currys/PC world in Chichester had heard of it, and the nice chap in J-L had no idea that there was an issue with the Roberts Stream 93i.
