The only outwardly hate speech anti semite racist I have encountered was in fact a Pakistani gent from Birmingham. And who are the left supporting against Israel? The gentlemen of islamic persuasion.

Where else have I encountered overt racism? Ah well an Indian who got kicked out of Uganda less everything he had worked for, Another Indian with a chip on his shoulder about British colonialism. Various 'black lives matter' (but white lives don't) Marxists from the hard left.

The only overt racism I ever encountered from WHITE person was in south Africa, where a Boer farmer in the Cape explained to me that 'they don't have souls, you know' .

There is no 'far right' in the UK. Even Tommy Robinson is mild compared to the USA. And he can attract at best 1000 supporters in a demo.

But there most certainly is a far left, that goes around accusing everybody but themselves of racism.

In the good old days of tribal Village Life you would have been booted out and told to find a place (somewhere!) that lived by your principles. And told not to come back. Or else.

Trump and Putin (and Netanyahu, come to think of it) (and the Chinese, come to think again) are right: Western society has gone soft ... and they are cynically making the most of that, day by day by day.

Yes, but we were for a time, civilised. Tell a student of the '68 era or thenabouts that the government should decide the truth of anything spoken or published and you would have been roundly ridiculed, and rightly so.

And they should fight one, if they are that enthusiastic. They and their children should enter a to-the-death gladiatorial contest. We'd soon see how popular war actually was.

Well, no young relatives of mine will be doing any such thing after my recent lecture. I pointed out that following their sacrifice, if they survive, they'll be treated as 3rd class citizens; back of the queue for everything and that if they end up mentally ill and homeless then tough s*it, because help there will be none. I'm pretty sure the message got through and I trust others of my generation will clue their youngsters up likewise about how joining up to fight always works out in the end.
